Waiting until 6 months, which is days away so I guess I better get to cooking and processing. Braya's first food was avocado because of the texture and the good fat. But I did that fresh. Keep the core in so it lasts longer. Do they make silicon ice trays? Hated when it was hard to get the ice cubes out of the trays.F.T.M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10326230947672264587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-23852658001700413952011-11-04T21:34:53.967-04:002011-11-04T21:34:53.967-04:00i used ice cube trays and zip locks. there are a f...i used ice cube trays and zip locks. there are a few posts on my blog about my baby food making days! it was fun.AndreaLeighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15947251123686458404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-87530106176612987922011-10-28T22:58:10.875-04:002011-10-28T22:58:10.875-04:00I used the ice cube trays and ziplocs. My boy loved butternut squash, carrots, peas, cauliflower, applesauce, pears and blueberry applesauce...so much fun making baby food. I didn't use the emersion blender but it def would have made things easier! By the way, I found your blog from LG. Your babes are such cuties!Marionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00918840919412529243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-33950955442779308302011-10-28T15:54:55.537-04:002011-10-28T15:54:55.537-04:00I'll throw this out there, I don't remembe...I'll throw this out there, I don't remember how old mine were When I started doing this, but I bought a hand held emersion blender and started taking whatever we were eating for dinner, adding a little water, blend and serve. It just made life easier, especially when I was behind on baby food making.Wanting What I Havehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05711989381690050970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-91714804248013200092011-10-28T15:39:25.404-04:002011-10-28T15:39:25.404-04:00Ice cube trays work the best when they are pint si...Ice cube trays work the best when they are pint sized and only eating a small amount. When they get bigger, the silicone mini and regular muffin pans work the best. Once frozen just pop them out and ziplock them with a date. If you google for recipes, you'll find entire sites dedicated to posting baby food recipes.Jen | Our Life Accountshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05604469692164988683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-43624466127081171182011-10-28T10:35:22.135-04:002011-10-28T10:35:22.135-04:00I make all of A's food and I just use ice cube...I make all of A's food and I just use ice cube trays to freeze it and then pop the cubes out into ziplock freezer bags and label them. The bags seem to take up a lot less space and will hold a ton! I've done sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, apples, pears, mango, papaya, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, plums, blueberries, peaches, bananas and avocado. If you have more specific questions I'm happy to help!Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18001321473350963308noreply@blogger.com
