I am currently hooked up to a coffee IV to type this.<div><br></div><div>10:00- Get in bed because I don't feel good. It's all of 20 degrees outside, so I'm bundled up under 3 comforters.</div><div><br></div><div>11:00-12:30- Toss and turn trying to get comfy.</div><div><br></div><div>2:18- Wake up to a movie playing on the laptop while husband is fast asleep next to it.</div><div><br></div><div>3:36- Wake up to Emma crying-go see what's wrong-she can't find her teddy bear.</div><div><br></div><div>4:00- Trying to go back to sleep but now someone is mouth breathing. Go get on couch with 8 blankets.</div><div><br></div><div>4:39- Wake up to Emma crying again-husband is going to deal with this one.</div><div><br></div><div>5:30- Wake up to Harrison crying (he never cries! But he made an exception for tonight...) He wants some books. Sorry, kid!</div><div><br></div><div>5:40- Go get back in bed and turn off my alarm. Emma's school is delayed until 11:00. </div><div><br></div><div>7:25- Wake up. (By the way, Merry Christmas and all that jazz, hope it was rad!)<div><br></div><div>On NYE, my family (and now MY family) has always stayed in, done a few sparklers, and had junk food dinner! If you are unfamiliar with the JFD, allow me to introduce you! It is a true delicacy of all the processed, yummy crap sold in stores today. A JFD can consist of any of the following: pizza rolls, chips, dip, cheese, crackers, fruit, (gotta be healthy!) bagel bites, sliders, (any kind) nuts, any kind of frozen appetizer, pretty much anything that looks/sounds good while you are shopping! My Momma's rule is you have to have fruit for health reasons, lol! So we stay in and do our sparklers, then eat a bunch of JUNK and go to bed either before or after the ball drops. Depends on your alkie co<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">nsumption. Champagne is okay, but I prefer wine for the long haul!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">On NYD, after we have burst o</span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">ut of our JFD comas, we play with family until it's time for the traditional Southern (Alabama) meal. We have: meat (typically a pork, like a boston butt pronounced "butte-ocks" according to my dad, :) lol!) black eyes peas, collard greens, and hot water corn cakes. If you have never had the pleasure of tasting HWCC, come on down!!! It's corn meal and water mixed Into to a paste, shaped into small pancakes, then fried up till absolutely scrumptious! </span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Our foods represent health, wealth, and good luck in the coming year. I don't know what my problem is. I'm blaming it on the move and a super late Thanksgiving. Also, our laptop bit the dust, so there goes my canvas making, Christmas carding self. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I'm just blah. I just set our tree up and did our mantel TODAY. Pathetic. I can't even read blogs and look at Pinterest because, hello? Inadequate city. I love Christmas, but feel like this year it's all "DO ALL THE THINGS! Hurry!" And I'm like no thanks. Also, I have not shopped ONE TIME besides the two things from Santa. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So pretty much no one has gifts, nor have I any ideas. WTF Susannah. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">My elf is a slacker, he doesn't do anything except maybe move from one room to another. I'm just trying to survive right now. Anyone else? But first, the background.<br />
I belong to an online yard sale site on FB, and it's awesome! You list your junk, people buy it. For way more than they would at an actual garage sale. For instance, I've made $700 since July 5. Yeah, I'm serious. It's freaking addicting and awesome and win-win because you are getting rid of stuff and making dolla dolla bills.<br />
<br />
Anyway, I posted this "Tickle Monster Kit" which is a cool book and gloves-you read it while tickling with the gloves. Whatev, it was very nice and almost new like. So I had a person interested. I told her that with all I had going on, I needed her to come to my moving sale and pick it up. I gave her the address, and she replied saying it was 20 miles away and too far from her house. Ummm, okay.<br />
<br />
So at some point, I told her maybe I could meet her the next day. Then I got busy having a garage sale and packing, and forgot. You can see where this is going, right? No, I didn't forget to meet her. I forgot I said that to her and continued on with life.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The KIT</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHPL4v1dU4JcWstlNNrrTuaBseSr5p_p4hWTetJYTQblSmF27w5wXgKMjxQYcx8apNmyzQ7XKqqLVM6RpqRROIO-IIKFqVvXRAcngaaeKox4Y0GYG6dXtA2CnV5FYYfkedXbEncZc-qrQ/s1600/tickle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="135" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHPL4v1dU4JcWstlNNrrTuaBseSr5p_p4hWTetJYTQblSmF27w5wXgKMjxQYcx8apNmyzQ7XKqqLVM6RpqRROIO-IIKFqVvXRAcngaaeKox4Y0GYG6dXtA2CnV5FYYfkedXbEncZc-qrQ/s320/tickle.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So, later on Saturday night, I was checking in on FB and saw this message from another girl asking if she could get it, and I was like DUH. Can you meet tomorrow? Ok? Cool-see ya then. Then I noticed original home girl had written me back and was like "OK, let's meet tomorrow." OMG. Great. Big mistake on my part. Big. Huge. I didn't want to immediately write back and tell new girl that she couldn't have it, because honestly, I was still ticked that original gangsta said it was too far, wah, wah. So, I lied.<br />
<br />
Note to self-don't lie. Especially about something as STUPID as this. I told her I sold it at the yard sale because I didn't want to sell it to her and because I had already talked to the other girl. And then, I posted on FB to the new girl and old girl saw it. See below for my PM's with crazy girl. I'm the text in blue.<br />

So, okay, I lied. I said sorry. Then she called me an idiot. Over a BOOK. I especially wasn't going to meet her after that. She told me she was blocking me since <i>I was crazy</i>. OMG. I can't even. Between her and the lady who took the oven for free, I just have no words. It was a weekend for bat shit crazy. And so what if <i>my sister</i> was in charge of the replies, because I shudder at confrontation.<br />
<br />
On Sunday morning, we were thinking that we would have an oven and a crazy hooker in the driveway demanding her Tickle Monster kit. HA!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
And here is her picture, after finding out I wouldn't sell her the Tickle Monster kit.</div>

I am a very organized person, but I still had LOTS of stuff that needed to go.<br />
<br />
So, I posted on my facebook yard sale site that I was having a moving sale, and began digging out crap to sell. I also said there were no prices. Because ain't nobody moving in a week got time to price 548696 items.<br />
<br />
So, mom and sis were here, we were setting up and the sale started. It was a little painful for me to sell things for like 2$ (ie a rug, clothing, dishes, etc) but I let it go. Things were moving right along. Sidenote: some people do not like to bargain. If they ask how much, I say an amount, they will just put it down instead of asking me for another price.)<br />
<br />
We had an oven from our kitchen out there, because the broiler went out right after we put our house went on the market. "Someone" decided we could probably sell it, so we drug it out and had some interested people, but they either couldn't fix the broiler, or they didn't have a way to tote it home.<br />
<br />
Well here comes this old lady. She is bee-lining to the oven. She's like, "How much?" I said, "$10??" She goes, "How about it's free, because I don't know if it really works, and if it doesn't I can just throw it away." I'm standing there like whaaaaaa? Then I figured it was better to let her take it then for me to have to figure out how to get rid of it. Cause it doesn't exactly fit in the trash. So I tell her fine, take it. She's like, "Can you put it in my car full of junk?" Ummmmmm....<br />
<br />
So my sister and I get a dolly and finagle this giant oven into her Jeep Cherokee. Whereupon I find a pair of my LL Bean flipflops in the back. Seriously? She was trying to jack my flops and get a free oven? I'm like, "I'll make you a pile over here for the other things." She continues to poke around and ask if our lawnmower is for sale and if we have any furniture for sale.<br />
<br />
Finally, she gets to her pile and asks how much. She had: flipflops, a clock, a ceramic hot chocolate thing, and something else. I tell her $5. She literally says to me, "How about $1?" I'm dumbfounded because I've just been out cheaped by an elderly woman. By the time I gather myself, she has her pile and is bookin it out of there.<br />
<br />
My sister and I sat there and died laughing for a good 5 minutes. Then she came back. Because she left the box of burners and drip pans in the driveway.<br />
<br />
And lest you think this story is over, it is not. That afternoon, probably about 2 hours after she left, she CAME BACK because she was missing a piece to the oven. I looked all over the garage for it, couldn't find it, said sorry, but it was free. She wouldn't let it go. I had to go get Jason. She said for him to come get it!! He was like, "Sorry, you be crazy. It was a free oven. It's yours. I'm not coming to pick it up." I literally was DYING. She made me take her number down in case we found the part while packing the garage.<br />
<br />
The rest of the weekend, I would look at Sarah and say, "I can't even believe what just happened." And we would just crack up all over again. And we woke up on Sunday expecting to see an oven sitting in our driveway.<br />
<br />
Moral: watch it at the yard sales, those older woman will work you over.Susannahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-1757737159496049942013-07-29T21:32:00.000-04:002013-07-29T21:49:26.809-04:00Quite a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!No, I'm not pregnant.<br />
<br />
<br />
BUT, I've been sitting on a secret for about four months now. And now I can share!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2DJrwFt6RyltWUwhrep89uRa5NsJMxVKrMQasT8U0upEvrtRSu1W4lhOxJFs6C8XRhqL3qk8Z1gv9kIn1Ck0wP56CwP4FVIc6s45j_53h62o4akYJE6vyW8iXSCUXnLXjRJKt11JeSk0/s1600/moving.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2DJrwFt6RyltWUwhrep89uRa5NsJMxVKrMQasT8U0upEvrtRSu1W4lhOxJFs6C8XRhqL3qk8Z1gv9kIn1Ck0wP56CwP4FVIc6s45j_53h62o4akYJE6vyW8iXSCUXnLXjRJKt11JeSk0/s400/moving.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
We are moving BACK HOME to Birmingham, Alabama!!! I can't wait to be by family!!<br />
<br />
We put our house on the market at the very end of March. We had at least 30 showings. And at the beginning of July, we got an offer! July 9, to be exact. And the buyers want to move in on AUGUST 4th.<br />
<br />
So, I started packing back then, and then I slacked off because, what if it didn't happen. Then we had our appraisal and inspection, everything went well, and that was last week. So, I have been packing a 2500 square foot home for the past week with two children. It's about as much fun as washing 485 disposable diapers with all of your favorite clothes and then having to pick all the shit off your clothes. Just saying.<br />
<br />
Thankfully, my MIL came for four days and I got some more packing done, then my mom and sis came for the weekend. We managed to pack up the whole master closet, attic, my bedroom, and some of the garage. We also had a yard sale and made a nice profit!<br />
<br />
Jason is going to commute to Atlanta to work three days per week. I'm going to stay home with the kiddos and do my thing.<br />
<br />
Since the sale happened so quickly, we don't have a house picked out. We haven't even gone to look. Because, hello. Packing house = more important. So, we will be shacking up in my sister's basement.<br />
That's gonna be about as fun as picking fleas off a monkey while driving through a mud pit on heroin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Basically, this will be me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
In all seriousness, it will be fun and A LOT of crazy for my family of four to live with her family of three. We will be looking for houses stat!<br />
<br />
I am so excited to be moving home, being closer to everyone, and getting to see all the people on the reg.<br />
<br />
We close on Friday. The moving van comes Saturday. Our entire house goes into storage. It's going to be a great adventure. Please pray that I don't end up looking like this before we get into our new home!<br />

<br />
Now, those of you familiar with Atlanta know how the "closeness" is. Emily lives in Decatur, I live in Sugar Hill. She is about 5 minutes from downtown Atl, and I'm about 40 minutes north of downtown. So, although we live in roughly the same area, it's dang hard to hang with the Atlanta traffic and roads!<br />
<br />
We planned a trip to Zoo Atlanta with Emily and her kiddos Kirkland and Harrison and had a blast! We also met up with her neighbor and his two girls.<br />
<br />
We had a great time catching up and playing!<br />

<br />
<br />
We had a great time seeing our zoo and hanging with a great friend!<br />
<br />
A few days (a week??) later, we went to the Cumming Aquatic Center. It has just opened up to the public and is very cool! We met a few friends and their kids there. I looked online and noticed it was a zero entry and had a cool playground in the water. I knew Emma would have a blast! Harrison is more interested in snacks on the chair at this point!<br />
<br />
So Emma was playing in the 2-3 feet of water and I was watching her while feeding Harrison graham crackers. Emma had on an obnoxiously big white bow, so I was able to track her by finding that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizyiGaG9nmnIUaKf0bgbRsF5meaLI5WzQuBGJmcGxY4cVk9umQDTIQxSbDWVeN05H4MCpkTT7EosbhOliipunG0_C6C9ToSbReKKe0G_yswIoVuJybS2ydmAM7DmoqEF81nmaKjYkdP9Q/s320/photo%25204.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizyiGaG9nmnIUaKf0bgbRsF5meaLI5WzQuBGJmcGxY4cVk9umQDTIQxSbDWVeN05H4MCpkTT7EosbhOliipunG0_C6C9ToSbReKKe0G_yswIoVuJybS2ydmAM7DmoqEF81nmaKjYkdP9Q/s320/photo%25204.JPG" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Can't see the bow, but look at those LONG LEGS! Harrison is mesmerized, lol!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyway, Emma was walking around, swimming, playing, etc. I looked up to find her, and saw her bobbing up and down in about 4 feet of water. Little hands scrambling to grab the side of the pool. No life jacket on. Because it was a zero entry pool that was not deep-according to the internet. Luckily, I was watching her. Luckily, I saw her, TWO FEET from a lifeguard, fighting for air. I jumped up, fully clothed, ran through the water, and DOVE onto her and grabbed her. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I cannot EVEN IMAGINE if I was letting the lifeguards watch her while I gossiped or snacked with Harrison. Literally. She would be gone. I'm sure of it. She was SO CLOSE to help. So close to the side. They were scanning long range, not under their feet. I grabbed her, and then all of the parents on the side of the pool were like, "whaaaa just happened?" I was not sure. I started having a panic attack, in the pool, fully clothed, thinking about how my baby girl almost drowned. We got out, calmed down, then talked to the head lifeguard. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We haven't been back since. But, we will. With a freaking heavy duty life jacket. Be cautious, folks. Be diligent. Cause it only takes a few seconds, and you wouldn't even know. Stay vigilant.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

I have a confession to make. And, from the title, I'm sure you can assume what it is. That's right-I'm a binky mom. I have been a binky mom for the past FOUR YEARS. I love the binky. The binky brings comfort to newborns and toddlers alike. The binky is good. The binky makes my children happy. The binky is a God send.<br />
<br />
And then? I took the damn binky away. That's right-I stripped my children of one of their two comfort items. The other item being a knitted lovie.<br />
<br />
Anywho, I have always had some backlash from husband and family members to just TAKE.THE BINKY.AWAY. SUSANNAH. God, just take it, don't be so scared, it's so babyish, it's awful, it's deforming them, blah, blah, blah. I didn't get down with all that because I had a binky UNTIL I WAS SIX YEARS OLD.<br />
<br />
Yes, you read that right. I was in SCHOOL and still took a binky at home. God bless my mama, she indulged my binky addict ways. And I was a sly one. I would tell her (the former dental hygienist) that I was READY to give that binky to the dentist, throw it off a bridge, put it in the trash, etc. And then when it came time to shit or get off the pot-I did not shit. I stayed on the pot. With ma' binky.<br />
<br />
And then I turned six and shit got real and I threw it off a bridge into the Mississippi River on vacation.<br />
<br />
Back to the case in point. I was indulging my children in their binky addict ways, because <i>what?</i> What was really gonna happen? Jacked up teeth? Going to kindergarten with it? No. Get real. It would work itself out.<br />
<br />
Then, we came upon binky loss in the night. Binky falling out. Where's the binky? Wahhhh! I want my binky, okay I'm up now!<br />
<br />
Then we went to the beach at the beginning of May and I saw a SEVEN YEAR OLD GIRL in the bathroom of Cracker Barrel with a binky in her mouth. In broad daylight. And my child said to her, "Why do you have a binky in the bathroom during the day?" (Then I died and was simultaneously proud of her. Ha!) So husband and I embarked upon "Binky Removal 2013."<br />
<br />
I told him it HAD to be when he was home-because honestly? Who wants to do that shiz alone? Not this girl! We chose Memorial Day weekend-when he would be around to deal with the binky backlash.<br />
<br />
We made a plan. We stuck with it. We were going to Build a Bear and putting that damn binky inside of a stuffed animal for comfort and it was GOING TO WORK!<br />
<br />
So off we went to the mall, we built a puppy dog (Harrison's request) and an ugly ass tie-dyed bear (Emma's request), we stuffed that binky inside, did a dance, gave it a heart/brain/whatever, and high tailed it out of there for $38!!!<br />
<br />
Emma's bear was named Lowly, Harrison's dog was named Joanie, we went to the car armed with our binky lovin' fools, and................the shit hit the fan.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Before going inside. Everyone is happy with their crack, I mean, binky.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Sidenote: How ridiculous does my ALMOST FOUR YEAR OLD look with a binky?!?!?!</div>
<br />
On the way home, Emma lost her shiz, Buddy kept saying "bi-bi" and I was hyperventilating thinking of nap and bed time.<br />
<br />
Naps were a crap shoot, bed time was decent. Emma was up until 11:00, woke up twice asking for her binky, then was over it. Buddy went down at 7:45 and was cool with it when we kept telling him it was in his dog and to hug it. The next day?<br />
<br />
Done. Nothing else was mentioned. Naps? Fine. Bedtime? Slightly pushed back, but sleeping through the night. Emma has sailed right on through. Which tells me it was <i>more than time</i> to remove the enemy. Harrison was fine, but when we travel long distances in the car, he still says, "Bi-Bi??" When I remind him that it's gone, he says, "Oh." Like, so matter of fact.<br />
<br />
So, I guess the moral of the story is this. Do not be a puss when it comes to taking your child's binky away. Because if my two crack addicts could make it and sail on through life, your child will be fine. I only WISH I hadn't waited so long. And I hope to God we don't have 384,949 dollars worth of dental bills in our future.<br />

I dropped the ball on uploading the rest of the pics and blogging from the beach, so I will get caught up on that soon. We had a really good time, though!<br />
<br />
Some things going on lately:<br />
<br />
*I got a lot of reading in at the beach! I tend to go through cycles with my reading VS internet usage. I'm either really into reading, or really into checking FB/IG/Twitter/blogs. Well, ever since the beach, I've been on a reading kick. If you're on <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/">Goodreads</a>, check my page (Susannah Edwards) for TONS of dystopian and other fluff reviews and recommendations. I just finished the Private series and the Privilege series. I have a thing for YA literature. I can't stop. These are just some teenage boarding school/drama/murder mystery things I got really into. They are old and are probably at your library! I only had to buy 2 of the 29 books on Kindle.Yes, I read about 29 high school books in 2 weeks. Every nap time, bed time, free time, I was hooked.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtUno-erDbJwyzW9hP8XgDmA0th7jdtN8IjZQSo6Z1sAiSpoPwgaNRF3_aFKmEJdB7hfQAXB4vrlD0YYFwllAdXHgQAAcxJY4jGRlTloB8PhyphenhyphenBcQqysvPNePhGV0RYsjJjo-qEgtRC5dE/s1600/Private.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtUno-erDbJwyzW9hP8XgDmA0th7jdtN8IjZQSo6Z1sAiSpoPwgaNRF3_aFKmEJdB7hfQAXB4vrlD0YYFwllAdXHgQAAcxJY4jGRlTloB8PhyphenhyphenBcQqysvPNePhGV0RYsjJjo-qEgtRC5dE/s320/Private.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
*Someone hold me because Mother's Day Out/School is over and I'm already DROWNING in no alone time. I know it's a first world problem, but I need like 3 hours once a week to myself. I need to grocery shop and clean alone. And go shoot guns. And there is none of that on the horizon. I need to find a teenage babysitter, like yesterday.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yes, I need you to come over NOW. Thanks.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
*Emma likes for Harrison to come into the bathroom with her sometimes. And, we are loosely working on potty training him. As in, nudity and a frog potty in the den. Anyway, they go in there and she potties and they talk and laugh and whatever. I don't ask questions. Today, they went in there, he took his potty, they both got on their respective potties. I'm in the kitchen. I hear the door close. About 5 minutes later, I was like wha?? Where are they? I go in there and Y'ALL.They had used <i>every single</i> <i>flushable wipe</i> Emma has for #2, dunked it in the potty full of tee-tee, and were "washing" the toilet and hardwood floors. It was EVERYWHERE. I literally died. Fell down dead. Then I came unglued. OHHHHHHHHHHH EMMMMM GEEEE what a way to start the day! Lesson learned-no visitors in the potty and no closed doors!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
*If you are going to buy a travel DVD player for trips, do yourself a favor and NEVER order one from RCA. Rip the freak off. This is our second set of DVD players from RCA. Go spend the extra money on a Sony. We haven't even had these jokers for one year, and this is the second time they have broken. After digging around online to find the customer service number, I get connected to 4 different Indian agents and then they tell me to call another number. Now they tell me the "fuse must be out" and I need to go buy another fuse. And if that doesn't work, to call back. I'm sorry, but are you SHITTING ME? You go buy another fuse and mail it to me, jackass.<br />
<br />

<br />
That's pretty much all that has been going on for the four days we have been out of school. Lots of second birthday planning for Mr. Harrison has been happening. Only 18 more days until his party! Goodness, I better get busy! Hope you all are having a fun summer so far!<br />
<br />Susannahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-53449856163659723992013-05-08T17:15:00.003-04:002013-05-08T17:15:50.953-04:00St George Days 2 & 3<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We have been having a great time on our vacation so far! And, we have been very active too! After the carriage bike riding and lighthouse hiking, we rented a kayak for 3 days. Now I'm sore on both ends! Ha! But, this is how the memories are made! We have been enjoying lots of sand play, pool time, and general adult relaxation during nap time. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Harrison will tolerate the sand, but his favorite thing is a water hose.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
He won't even think about getting in the ocean or pool, but he will </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
go to town on the multiple hoses around here!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I can't get over how grown up Harrison looks! He's not even two yet!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
We went in to Apalachicola on Monday and played around. Our favorite places </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to go are The Grady Market and The Owl Cafe. We did both and had a blast!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Emma and Harrison were having a game of checkers on the market patio.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjutllakJGUYGvngoL_kWYfBtV94_S2tpQe0wKb2LTfVIXK5hXqkXOIIooGlas4wJWVDpDqXIv_WnOlCCMvtrwr7Q56P3MlZyyb_xOMzmxTEvr_J2E7RMjwD0S-EJhooH2E8CM2G5qszqA/s1600/IMG_2350.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjutllakJGUYGvngoL_kWYfBtV94_S2tpQe0wKb2LTfVIXK5hXqkXOIIooGlas4wJWVDpDqXIv_WnOlCCMvtrwr7Q56P3MlZyyb_xOMzmxTEvr_J2E7RMjwD0S-EJhooH2E8CM2G5qszqA/s320/IMG_2350.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lunch at The Owl. Which turned into utter disaster about 14 minutes after arriving. Harrison wasn't into sitting and eating, Emma needed to go #2, etc. He was throwing crayons and ketchup, she was whining about the plain butter noodles she ordered. So I got to take one bite of my cilantro-jalapeno chicken salad before we had to leave. Maybe I can eat a whole meal in peace when they are 6.</div>

Yes, they are so cute. However, they are devils in disguise.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Emma bought a pirate's treasure chest at the market and was very obsessed with it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She kept wanting to find treasure to put in it, lol! </div>

During nap time, Jason and I went to the state park that's about 3 miles from our house. They have a boat launch, so we put her in and proceeded to kayak to an island to have a few beers and a small picnic. Then the wind started blowing at around 15 mph. And we had to paddle back against the current. Dude. I would suck at sculling. I kept counting to 100 then letting us take a break. It was about a mile back, but it felt like it took us SO LONG to get back! So we got back to the launch and I promptly popped a cold one and sat down.</div>

So that is what we have been up to! Internet and phone service has been spotty, so I've been reading a lot! I haven't been able to talk to my people, or check FB/Twitter/IG, but it's been good. I am hovering in a corner working on this post-seems to be the best area in the house for internet connection.<br />

We went and had major pool play today, so once we get into our other shenanigans, I'll catch you all up on that!</div>

We (meaning the adults) unloaded the two SUV's of STUFF that we brought. Jason took the kids to the beach. It was a balmy 51 degrees. They started digging in the sand and dipping their toes in the ice, I mean, water. I started unpacking and organizing the kitchen. You can't stay somewhere for a full seven days and not unpack, in my opinion. By the time I finished organizing the kitchen, the beach light was perfect for a few photos!<br />

<br />
After taking a bath in a swimming pool sized tub, we bedded the babes down and they were asleep within 5 minutes. The grown ups tried to stay up until 10, then we passed out too.<br />
<br />
This morning we all got up at 7:30 and were on the beach by 8:00. Lots of making sandcastles and fishing went down, then I started getting stir crazy. It wasn't exactly laying out weather this morning, so we (my MIL and I) decided to load up and go into "town" and rent bikes. Well, these weren't the bikes of our past.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So much fun so far! Now everyone is taking a nap but me! I'm going to find my library book and chill!Susannahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-82954675310130927462013-04-29T13:56:00.003-04:002013-04-29T13:56:56.576-04:00Firmoo ReviewHave y'all heard of <a href="http://www.firmoo.com/">Firmoo</a>? It's an online glasses store. I'm lucky enough to not need prescription glasses, but I do have a heavy addiction to sunglasses of all kinds. Most notably, the Costas. But we all know those are not affordable enough to buy a few pairs to switch out. I often pick up a few pairs from NY&Co and Old Navy.<br />
<br />
However, Firmoo has awesome deals including free shipping and your first pair of glasses free!Another cool option is the virtual try on when you upload a pic of yourself. That is handy! I know some people (like my sister) who could rack up some CUTE glasses for a very low price! Just get your Rx ready...........<br />
<br />
I chose <a href="http://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-1013.html#71">these glasses</a> in tortoiseshell and had them tinted. Let's see.<br />

I'm a big fan of the square glasses. I also really dig aviators, but they always get stuck in my hair! Anyway, I really like these glasses. They come with a hard case, a soft case, a cleaning cloth, and extra screws/a tiny screwdriver. Dude!<br />
<br />
The only thing I dislike about them is the tint isn't dark enough. I got the darkest tint possible. Just personal opinion. You know, if I'm wearing sunglasses, I want to be able to stalk things without being busted! But, if you are looking for standard eyeglasses (Rx or not!) then I think you will love <a href="http://www.firmoo.com/">Firmoo</a>!<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Disclosure: I was given a pair of free glasses in exchange for my honest review.</span>Susannahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-8989935645436088932013-04-12T08:00:00.000-04:002013-04-12T08:00:15.923-04:00Spring Break!Well, this Spring Break is flying by, and unlike Spring Breaks of the past, we have not been partying. Ha!<br />
We have been going to new, fun play places every day this week though, thanks to my MIL!<br />
<br />
The first place we went was to <a href="http://www.playactivitycenter.com/">PLAY Activity in Roswell</a>. It's a kid gym with trampolines, foam pits, ball pits, and gymnastics equipment like beams, bars, and other things that look like Gymboree. It was really fun and we went two days in a row from 10-2!! And you better believe that I busted a move on the trampoline and dove into the foam blocks multiple times! We took picnic lunches and had a blast! And Harrison and Emma made some older friends, lol. Their favorite part was the creative play area (video below). It was a room divided into five sections: rice table, train area, vet clinic, restaurant, and reading/home corner. The favorite was BY FAR the rice table. We may end up setting our water table up with rice so they can do this at home! Very cool. Emma really enjoyed playing restaurant-it was complete with menus, dishes and TONS of play food. She loved taking orders and making us food. She was also very partial to the vet clinic. Girlfriend loves taking care of animals.<br />

<br />
On Wednesday we went to <a href="http://www.inkfun.org/">INK in Gainesville</a>, GA. It's an interactive kids museum and it is SO COOL! It had all these little rooms that were different "careers" like a grocery store, bank, dentist, doctor, dress up, etc. They absolutely loved it! There is a short video below of them shopping in the store. So cool that they had a real check out belt and stuff that actually scanned the groceries! Ha!<br />

Overall, we have had a great week! I thought I was wearing them out, but these jokers have not been sleeping any longer for naps and are waking up earlier! (Dang sun rise at 6:45 today!) I am missing their school and can't wait for it to come back next week! Once this pollen dies down we can hit up more parks outside, but for now we are playing indoors. My kiddos have inherited my allergy stuff and have had disgusting noses and coughs since this mess started! I'm ready for our schedule to return to normal and for us to break out the water table and baby pool!</div>

Upon arriving home, chaos ensued, as usual. I was trying to get all the stuff out of the car and get the kids bed stuff set up for afternoon nap, my husband called and said the HVAC guy was coming, I have a kid I get off the bus everyday, etc. It was cray. So, I got their monitors all set up, got them down, the technician came, and I directed him to the AC units. I told him I had to get a kid off the bus and I would be back in 3 minutes. I got the kiddo and we walked into the house to find the technician HOLDING MY SON. <br />
<br />
I'll let that sink in. He was HOLDING MY SON. WTF doesn't even begin to cover it. I was flabbergasted. I said, "Ummmmm." He was mortified, and told me that he came down from the attic and walked out of my room to see Harrison standing there. Harrison saw him and started crying. The guy knew I was getting my neighbor, so he picked Harrison up and brought him downstairs. Where I found him standing awkwardly holding and bouncing my child. <br />
<br />
So basically, my child ESCAPED HIS CRIB, opened his door, and roamed the upstairs. I am just in shock. This weekend at my sister's house, he tried (unsuccessfully) to escape the pack and play a few times. I thought it was just because it was so low. <br />
<br />
So now, I have to decide what to do. I'm really not ready to go into a full blown bed yet, even though his crib converts. I'm also not into toddler beds because if you're gonna go, go big. He also has some furniture in the room that I'm concerned about him being around without supervision. Like a desk with a separate hutch on top. That could fall down and smash him. So, my options seem to be get a crib tent or take the mattress support out and put his crib mattress on the floor in his crib. <br />
<br />
Anyone have some ideas here? I know I'm not the only one who has gone through this, but damn! That joker just grew up right quick! <br />
<br />
Anyone else ever have a worker randomly holding their child? Lol, I'm guessing NOT!<br />
<br />
And ps, you know you're a blogger when your first thought after something happens is, "I've GOT to blog this!!"<br />
<br />
<br />
So please, check out this re-enactment of the great escape.<br />

Please follow me with <a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/">Bloglovin</a>. There is a link to my profile at the bottom of the post. Everyone is doing it. :) And I have played with it and it seems very user friendly. I'm importing my blogs one by one so I can clean house, and I'm looking forward to adding some new blogs, too!<br />

Ciao for now, I'll update soon. (PS, nothing much going on over here!)<br />

And yes, to those of us with children, driving alone anywhere is a luxury. Am I right? Anyway, given that much alone time in the car with the sunroof open and the music blaring (early 90's, if you must know), I found myself driving through the familiar terrain of my childhood, thinking of the past. When I'm driving home through Auburn, Montgomery, Prattville, all the little towns in between, and finally arriving in Birmingham, little memories come to me and remind me of so many things. I wish I would've known then how fast life really happens and how much we should really treasure our time before we grow up. <br />
<br />
I wish I would've spent more time hunting with my dad in Autagaville. I was "so busy" in college and was only able to go down about 6-7 times to hunt, but those were some fun times, just me and my pops, and occasionally my uncle and cousin. Just crazy country fun. My dad is super patient and taught me literally everything I know about guns and shooting and hunting. And driving a 5 speed. And gutting a deer. And just enjoying nature. And growing things, planting things, landscaping, just lots of things that most dads don't know. And he was so patient teaching me how to do it myself. I wish right now that we could go down off highway 14 and get on the land and get in our tree stands and hunt. That would just make my day in a big way. <br />
<br />
I wish I would've taken more time in college and as a young married woman to just go spend time with my Grannie Annie. Screw the 4.5 hour drive. She was so damn fun and sweet, and I miss her so much. I could never walk into her house as an adult without her offering me a cocktail and an appetizer, even if it was just goldfish and pretzels. She taught me so much about our family, she loved talking about all of our relatives, telling stories of the past and stories of her early life married to my Pappy. And I really wish I could've gotten to know my Pappy more than 13 years. Because the stories from my mom, dad, and Grannie about him are awesome. It would be great to talk to him about the ATF, his time in the service, and raising four crazy kids!<br />
<br />
I wish I would have spent more girl time with my mom and asked her how to smock and knit. Because one day she won't be doing that, and it will be up to me to make my grand kids smocked outfits and lovies.<br />
<br />
I wish I would have realized early on that my sister would be my best friend for life. Although we probably would've gotten in way more trouble than we did!!<br />
<br />
I wish I would have spent less time fussing at Bart for barking or cleaning up the dog hair, and more time just enjoying his loyalty and company.<br />
<br />
I wish I would have enjoyed and appreciated all of the wonderful things my hometown and state have to offer and actually done them. Can't beat Alabama!<br />
<br />
I wish I wouldn't have waxed and tweezed my eyebrows into thin lines in college. Because now they are stuck that way, and at 34 years old, I have to fill them in with an eyebrow pencil.<br />
<br />
I wish I would've washed my face more and taken better care of it in general. And that goes for the ole body, too. Damn baby weight. It doesn't fall off, BTW.<br />
<br />
Oh, and I wish I would have never given my kids a binkie. For the love.<br />
<br />
So, if I could go back in time for a redo, these are the things I would want to do. <br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my sweet angel pup, Bart. On Friday afternoon, Bart started laying out in the grass and not moving at all. Even when his favorite toy (motorcycles) drove by, he wouldn't bark or jump up. That was most definitely not like him. He loved to bark and protect the family. It was a little absurd, really. But sweet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bart wouldn't eat his dogfood or even any chicken. He just layed in one place and looked sad. I thought he might have a virus or something, so I decided to sleep downstairs with him in case he needed to be sick. He was fine all night, and the next morning, Saturday, I got up to feed him and let him out. When he got to the hardwood floors, he had some kind of neurological episode and his legs seemed to not function for a minute. I knew something was bad wrong, so I woke Jason up and told him I was taking Bart to the vet.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got there before they opened and just sat in the parking lot petting and talking to Bart. When they opened, we went in and I explained what was happening. They sent us to a room and the tech came back to get his "vitals." The doctor came in shortly after and did a check up. He couldn't figure out what was going on, so they took blood. Barty and I cuddled on the floor and after a bit, he came back and said his white blood count was low and some other things looked weird, so he wanted to do an abdominal tap. They took a sample from his belly and it was all blood. </div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The doctor told me that what he thought was happening was that Bart had a tumor on his spleen and that it had ruptured. He said we needed to do emergency surgery to assess. The doctor said it could be a 50-50 chance that the tumor was contained and hadn't spread. I loved my boy up and they took him back to get started. I left and honestly thought all would be fine. I was still in shock that he was bleeding internally and had something really bad wrong with him. The doctor said he would call as soon as he was inside and knew what we were dealing with.</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Not 30 minutes later, I got the call. Apparently it was cancer and it had spread pretty bad. He said they could get what they could see, but it may still be in other places. And it would probably come back. My main concern was would Bart go back to his normal self afterwards, or would he just lay around and be pitiful? Of course I wanted more time with him, but not if he was sad and in pain. I had to make the worst decision-I decided to put him to sleep. I hate even typing that. It makes me want to puke. I feel so guilty. I wanted to be selfish and have him back, but I knew that was wrong. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did request to come back and see him and tell him good-bye. Y'all. I can't even. I've never seen a dog in surgery. It was not what I wanted to see. He was all covered up and still alive, but under anesthesia. I gave my little boy lots of snuggles and just smelled his fur and cried my damn eyes out. I couldn't pull it together to leave. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then, I had to make the decision on what to do with him after. Just awful. I screamed and cried the whole way home. And then continued off and on all day. And then to top things off, Jason got a virus that afternoon/evening and was non stop throwing up. And all I wanted to do was check out of life for the rest of the day and get drunk that night. But I had to do life and take care of everyone else. So when everyone was in bed, I got cozy with the wine and cried my face off. </div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I just MISS everything about Bart. His annoying barking. His constant begging for food. He followed me around everywhere. I rescued him from the Fulton County pound the month after Jason and I married.</div>

*Edited to add: I started this blog about four days before my birthday. And just remembered it! Ha! Oh we'll, enjoy if you can! And I'm not used to blogging from my iPad, so I don't know why my pics won't go where I want them.<br />
<br />
Well, even though my 34th (gulp!) birthday isn't until next Sunday, I've already gotten two amazing gifts! <br />
<br />
I've been wanting a small, handheld carpet cleaner for awhile. Because when messes happen on the carpet here, they are of the dog variety. I don't like getting out our giant Bissel carpet cleaner to clean one little dooky spot, so I was hoping Santa would bring me the Bissel Spotbot! And he delivered! In the form of my awesome in laws as a birthday gift!! Thanks, y'all! I've used it several times already, and the best part is you set it and walk away. Yes, it does the work itself and dings when it's clean!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Another thing I've been eyeing is a new handgun to add to my collection. I don't talk about my love of handguns on here, um...ever, but yeah. I really wanted the Ruger LCP 380. It's a compact pistol (semi-automatic) that is perfect for carrying. I called every gun dealer in a 40 mile radius and no one had it! I blame the school shooting and a re-election year on this run for guns and ammo. My timing was off by about two weeks, according to all the dealers I talked to. But, my persistence paid off when I found a gun "Craigslist" and found about five people in my area with them for sale! New! Thank you husband for this most generous gift! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Still on my list for anyone else needing an idea (ha ha!) is K cups and new house slippers. Dude, that's how 34 year olds roll. I'm practically 80. <br />
<br />
<br />
We are slowly getting back into our groove after returning home on January 4! I came home to mass chaos in the form of Christmas decor, laundry, new gifts, and loads of unpacking. Thankfully the children started school back and I got almost everything knocked out! Just a few more things to do and then I'll start the week over with a whole new list. It never ends, but for that I am thankful.<br />
<br />
What have y'all been up to lately in this new year? <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYnq7VG1U8c264erRc2toW9UCn-clIAmwiMZ4fMa18cbRMsNC7IvxU4eR-1v0-S_I_vYNyDnKN2TxmGxDVHCWOtdpBPJqCuy57FSOu0X0mgwh8h_ylVNy2x3I1IhelkSPU_H19sj0P5fw/s640/blogger-image-921875386.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYnq7VG1U8c264erRc2toW9UCn-clIAmwiMZ4fMa18cbRMsNC7IvxU4eR-1v0-S_I_vYNyDnKN2TxmGxDVHCWOtdpBPJqCuy57FSOu0X0mgwh8h_ylVNy2x3I1IhelkSPU_H19sj0P5fw/s640/blogger-image-921875386.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3rL64kE9av7R41kJNojGx5hjcWIdJnsNk6CvfMI2j1QuCFGWIIC37ldVzm3k9lXXQUWsv_Tv0QBv6SPAdf74TYphOaH_LubehJ2H4IW1NjNfZnfndSHJaOW6IpE2CQUpsJtVr_Z_WWA/s640/blogger-image--1556009535.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi3rL64kE9av7R41kJNojGx5hjcWIdJnsNk6CvfMI2j1QuCFGWIIC37ldVzm3k9lXXQUWsv_Tv0QBv6SPAdf74TYphOaH_LubehJ2H4IW1NjNfZnfndSHJaOW6IpE2CQUpsJtVr_Z_WWA/s640/blogger-image--1556009535.jpg" /></a></div>Susannahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-50261931969773466832013-01-06T15:27:00.002-05:002013-01-06T15:27:58.516-05:00Just Some Catch Up<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I'm going to bullet what I remember.<br />
<br />
*In January, Emma moved into her big girl bed and I went gluten free. We started eating lots of yummy GF foods. I turned 33 and scored a Shark steam mop and began my Scentsy obsession. <br />
<br />
*In February and March I was apparently too busy (read lazy) to blog and posted my menu and dealt with a lot of kid sickness. We continued to travel to Montgomery and Birmingham a good bit, too.<br />
<br />
*In April, I read a lot of books during nap time, did a review for Fashion to Figure, and we took the family to a Braves game. We also had Easter in Birmingham with both sides of the family, went to Nashville to play with friends and see Grannie, and I dropped off my clothes for the big summer sale. This was also the month of Harrison pooping OUT OF HIS ENTIRE OUTFIT in Kroger and riding home with a plastic grocery bag as a diaper.<br />
<br />
*In May, Harrison and Emma both got a haircut and we went to St George Island with Jason's family for a week of bliss!!<br />
<br />
*In June, Harrison turned one and Emma became potty trained!!! We also celebrated sister's 30th birthday in Atl!! We also went to Nashville for a family reunion. Sarah and I also went to see Grannie in the hospital when she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. I am so glad to have had that time with her!<br />
<br />
*In July, Emma had ballet camp and we had a fun 60th birthday (Alice in Wonderland tea party) for my MIL. I posted lots of weekly menus and teamed up with Campus Book Rentals to bring awareness to Operation Smile. Jason and I celebrated 8 years of marriage and I wrote about Project Hope and infant loss. We went to a super fun July 4 party and I almost lost my mind with Emma's picky eating habits.<br />
<br />
*In August, we went to Orange Beach with my sister and brother for a week and had a blast!!! We also celebrated Emma's third birthday at my sister's house with a major Care Bears theme!! I also won an awesome Oreck Magnesium from Stuttering Shell!! Score!<br />
<br />
*In September, I went to the Southeast's biggest consignment sale with my sissy and we scored all of the kids' fall and winter clothes, plus a few Christmas toys. I also almost lost my mind this month being with the kids 24/7, so we researched Christian day schools in our area and signed the kids up to start in October. <br />
<br />
*In October, the children started day school three days per week, for four hours a day. And I became sane again. We also did Halloween with my friend Jill and had a great time at the pumpkin patch!! I also had to say goodbye to my precious Grannie Annie on October 13. We had a bit more sickness, too.<br />
<br />
*In November, we got Mr. Harrison tubes. We went out of town for two family Thanksgivings and had a blast! It was great to be back at Grannie's house for one last hoo-rah! Also, Sarah and Scarlet came for a girls weekend!<br />
<br />
*This December has brought the obvious with a lot of decorating, cooking, shopping, and crafting. We also went to a BBQ cook off in our town and Emma walked on water in a giant bubble. We had tons of play dates at the jump house. I got a double ear infection, so that was....cool. Or not. We are ending our year in Birmingham with my family and trying not to shank the kids who are in a bit of a funky mood. <br />
<br />
I hope you all have a fabulous and safe New Years Eve and a wonderful 2013!! <br />
<br />
Sorry for the lack of links, I'm working from my iPad!!Susannahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06525637050244402378noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4547550652781119492.post-43190288984305704052012-12-24T20:42:00.001-05:002012-12-24T20:42:31.163-05:00It's Christmas Eve y'all!Well, we have baked and cooked and snacked ourselves to death these past few days! Lots of kitchen time is being logged! We have fed the reindeer, and laid out cookies, milk, and carrots. We have some soup simmering for dinner now and are anxiously awaiting for the "all asleep" so we can play Santa! <br />
<br />
I truly hope that you and yours have a very merry Christmas and I will see you soon! <br />

<br />
As for snacking, I will be making some tried and true things along with trying out a new recipe from Jennifer at <a href="http://www.lifeinthegreenhouse.com/">Life in the Green House</a>!<br />
<br />

are always gone at the end of the party or holiday!</div>
