8 Things

My girl Jordyn over at 8 Hour Brunch tagged me in a little meme called 8 most worn things.

It was hard for me to think of 8 things I consistently "wear," so some of this stuff is a stretch.

This summer, my uniform is some form of athletic shorts and a t shirt/tank top.
So, every day I must be rocking some cotton athletic shorts. Although not these-since they are bubble gum pink and look like they were made for a four year old.

Next, I am also ALWAYS wearing my hair in a bun/messy ponytail. It does not get fixed unless I'm going on a date. So, basically it gets fixed about 3 times per month.

Every.single.day this graces my face. And it has been for a long time. And will continue.

Every day I am wearing some form of flip flops, be it my Rainbows, my Reefs, my LL Beans, or a pair with a little wedge for some dress up time. :D
Every time I leave the house, this is on my shoulder. Emma's Vera Bradley diaper bag in purple punch.

I wear a sports bra every day of my life unless I am teaching or on a date. So, basically all summer long I wear a sports bra. Sorry, this picture was taken while I was running my daily 4 miles. I look a little thrown away.

Have I never shown y'all a picture of me? Sorry it is this exercising one.

Every day I am wearing this chiclet. She is a hot mess. She is the epitome of hot messiness in this picture. Her newest thing is to get in the drawer full of dog leashes and harnesses and drape them all over herself. This occupies her for precisely 7 minutes then she moves on.

I carry this purse every day. Ever since it's glorious inception into my life over my girls' weekend.

So, what are 8 things you wear almost every day? I am pulling a Mrs. Potts and not linking up. But, I hope a lot of you will participate. I LOVE reading stuff like this by other people. Thanks for sharing, Jordyn!

Show Us Your Life-Schedules

Well, Kelly is hosting Show Us Your Life, Schedules. I have never participated, but this one is easy, plus I like reading about other people's schedules. Those with kids and jobs are eerily similar. Glad to know I'm not the only one struggling with "getting it all done." :D

Here is my schedule now that I am back to work and a mom.

5:40-wake up and hit snooze at least once.
5:50-actually wake up, let dogs out and feed them, pump boobs
6:00-shower, makeup, hair (wet pony-yeah), dress
6:50-make lunch, get coffee to go, grab breakfast, wash up any random dishes so I can come home to an empty sink, leave for work by 7:00
7:10-get to work and get ready for the day-make copies, get lessons ready, clean up room if it's messy
7:50-kids arrive and begin working-teach till 10:00
10:00-break-kids go to "specials"-I pump again
10:45-pick kids up and teach till 11:45
11:45-lunch-without kids (PTL)-try to get some work done
12:15-pick kids up
12:15-1:30-teach
1:30-recess!
1:50-teach
3:00-kids go home! I pump again and work on lessons/copies/etc (PS-a teacher's work is NEVER DONE!) I am always lesson planning, grading, answering emails/calls, etc. Ridic. Unless you want to stay till 7:00 pm on Friday night, you have to work throughout the week for the next week!
On Monday and Wednesday I leave right after work to go to the gym.
On Tuesday we have grade level meetings.
On Thursday I stay till 5:00 and make sure things are ready for the next week.
On Friday I look over everything and TRY to leave by 4:00 to go get Emmabear and snuggle!
Today I left at 5:00-epic fail.
I go get Emma and we jot home. Then begins the feeding of baby food, nightly bottle and bath time. This is all normally done before 7:15. Emma's bedtime is 7:00-7:30. Once I get her down,
then I start dinner. This is why I rely so heavily on crockpot meals. Cause momma can't start a decent, healthy dinner at 7:15. Number 1, I'm starving and Number 2, it takes too long! I am not eating at 8:00-it's just not healthy to eat that late.

After eating, I clean up the kitchen, do dishes, make coffee for the next day, make bottles, pump AGAIN, answer emails, blog, read google reader, grade papers (ha!), read my book or mags, and finally do my devotion. If I'm lucky I can pass out by 10:00-and I LOVE my sleep, so I really strive to do this. Hence the reason I don't blog as much anymore. Cause some things HAVE to get done before I can go to sleep. On Fridays or days off work, I can stay up a little later, but I know Emma will be up by 7:00, so I am trying to get in by 11 or 12 on the weekends.

So, what does your schedule look like?

Five Question Friday

I love blog hops! They really get you in touch with some fabulous bloggers! That's how I found all of you lovelies to stalk blog with! Time for Five Question Friday from My Little Life for today.

Questions for Friday, November 20th:

1. Are you a Black Friday shopper?
Not really. Gasp, I know! I just A)hate getting up that early on my "vacation" and B)would rather freak and get all my Christmas junk in one fell swoop later on. I know, it's so Un-American.

2. What was your favorite childhood toy? (Think Easy Bake Oven, Cabbage Patch Kid, Shrinky Dinks, etc.)
OK, if I could remember the names of the crap, I would list it; but I did LOVE some Shrinky Dinks. Sidenote-about 3 years ago I found one at KB Toys and bought it for my sister. It was Hello Kitty too! Radical! We baked Shrinkies till the sun went down. I also loved my play kitchen from Little Tikes. Remember those-they were made out of plastic and had all the "real touches." And Barbies. And my first Walkman.

3. Favorite Christmas movie?
Home Alone-no question. I still can quote the entire thing. (So can Sissy) Maybe tied with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

4. What is the "must have" item on your Christmas list this year?
A friggin' car radio-for the love-it's been broken since July of last summer. Maybe an incident with a drink spilling on it. Yeah, and now NOTHING but AM talk radio comes through. My iPod won't work in it either. Death by boredom in the car. I can't wait to drive four hours on Monday. Rad.

5. Do you go all out with decorations or do you keep it simple and classy?
VERY simple-we are gone for like 2 weeks, so there is no point in blowing it out right now. I have about 23 decorations, and we get a live tree. That is it. We will do it up "right" once everyone starts coming here to celebrate with the Emmster.
Join in ladies, let's hear what you do!
Happy Weekend!

Show Us Your Life-PETS!

This is the first time I've ever joined in Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life, but it's PETS, so I had to! These are our firstborn dogchildren of love, Flash the bloodhound and Bart the mutt pit/ridgeback mix. They were our LIFE until we had Emma. Now they are a close second, and what's so strange is that they know their place. They are a little confused on why I leave them outside a little longer now, and why I don't play with them as much. Sorry guys, but you are really good boys! (Even when you lick yourselves in our bed and run like maniacs over the hard wood floors.) Still love ya!

Flashma Von Stine-such a poser.

Boo-berry, the momma's dogchild.

Yes momma?

You rang?

Brothers for life. (Unfortch Sorry Flash.

Hey Daddy!

Boo-berry close up.

I'm on a roll!

What is this, like post #5 today? Dang! Anyway, let's follow along on a blog hop with My Little Life for Five Question Friday!

1. What is your dream job?
Um, well, it's a tie-SAHM and teacher. So I'm kind of living my dream right now. I wish I could stay home part time!!
2. What song could you play over and over?
I'm gonna go with Party in the USA. Enough said.
3. Do you prefer to talk on the phone or text? (or email)
I love email-and texting-I would like texting a lot more if I have an iphone or something better at it-I am NOT a phone person in the least. I actually really dislike talking on the phone, and especially now that I am a non smoker.
4. What is your must have beauty product?
Mascara (Cover Girl Exact Lash and Sephora Buxom), Burt's Bees chapstick
5. What is your favorite Michael Jackson song?
Billie Jean-all the way. Memory=NYE 2001 in Nashville with some peeps who shall remain nameless-at a bar-JAMMING OUT to Billie Jean-it was my signature song for a long time!

Why don't you join in and tell us about yourself?
