This is one saying that was all the rage this weekend at the radical Blogger's Convench 2010.
We had a blast, and I'll be back sometime tomorrow after I'm done sifting through the laundry, dishes, suitcases, shopping bags, and other assorted items that need to be dealt with.
In the meantime, I have a HUGE list of new blogs to stalk, and lots of funny anecdotes to share.
Sidenote: ALL weekend, we were referring to all you bloggy buddies out there and checking each other's google reader to see who we needed to start reading and following. That was awesome in itself-if you ever get a chance to "hover" over someone's google reader, I highly encourage it! :D
Some quotes from the weekend that will be explained later:
"So that's like carnival food??" b.e.g.
"Is this a Ford F-ISO?" b.e.g.'s mom
"Dehydration is the norm in my life." b.e.g.
"I don't really wear a bra" Brittany
"Make sure they know where the midnight snacks are." b.e.g.
Okay, so apparently b.e.g. was the most hilarious of the trip-Brittany, we need to step it up. Granted, I was the "note taker" on my iTouch, so I couldn't be as funny. :D
Explanations to come.
Rock on bloggers, rock on.

I have a lot to learn!
So, my friend Brittany Ann wrote a very compelling post yesterday, and I told her I was going to steal it and revamp it, because honestly, don't we all need to improve upon something?
Brittany visited a web site called Tips for Writing Your Blog and she got some, well, tips.
Let me tell you how I think I am doing on each tip.
1. Choose your topics wisely
Ummmm, yeah, since I blog about shit diapers, my food intake, Zumba, and Sixteen Candles. But, this is me, and you like it. :D At least I hope so (okay, lie and make me feel better.)
2. Ensure that you make your readers happy.
Well, I am gonna have to say that this will make someone happy. So, I am on the road to happiness with "my readers." I also hook you all up on Sunday Sayings, so some other people are being made happy through myneed to spend money Tar-jay generosity. :D
3. Share your expertise.
Well, I am sharing my knowledge of menu planning, working out, and movie quotes. Gah, I am so amazing and knowledgeable. Maybe I should start teaching you all how to plan for third graders and make up interesting lessons. Ha!
4. Keep your blog posts short but very tight.
OK, this one could be okay. With the exception of my "Mother Load Thanksgiving Post in Pictures." But that was pictures-so it doesn't count. :D
5. Know your audience.
Readers, I like to think I know you all pretty darn well. You are all friends, and sweet women. I have no men followers :D. We all have a lot in common. I think this would be the ONE thing in blogging that I am good at.
6. Make it scannable.
Okay, I could be good at this too, since I am too lazy to write long posts. But, this post is clearly not meeting that criteria. The thing is, I like reading "meaty" posts from my people in google reader, but then there are days and times when I just want a quick, light read. I have some work to do here.
7. Ensure that your blog posts are informative.
Well, looky here! I am informing you now! And I have informed you about Zumba, movie quotes, and what I am eating for the week. I also keep you informed about my weight loss. Because honestly, don't you all want and need to know those things? Haha! :D
So, I clearly have some work to do to become Dooce, MckMama, or Kelly. Oh well, aspirations people.

5K Fun!
I see the finish line!
Make a run for it!
Ahhh, finally, I can't feel my hands!
I look demented here.
Jen and I with the babies
And again
And one more closeup
Well, the Special Olympics 5K was this morning at 8:00 am. My friend Jen and I went and did our part. We speed walked through the entire thing-maybe we weren't soo speedy. It took us 48 minutes. Not bad with the baby. Husband came and met us and took some "action shots" since Emma was sick and didn't need to be out in the cold the entire time. She has a cold! It is sooo pitiful!
PS-my friend Jen is running a half marathon tomorrow with no "training." She must be smoking some good stuff. :D

Oh, how I've missed you!!!
Hey guys, have I missed you! I have actually received comments on people missing my blogging! I love it! I have been such a busy lady-I went back to work on the 30th, and its been nonstop since then! Here is a brief update in pictures, and I promise, once I get it together at work, regular blogging will resume. Also, check out one of my besties new blogs, Mrs. First Time Mommy! She is a hoot! I also have several reviews to do for some FAB goodies I got for Emma and myself!! Stay tuned-that will be later this week! Emma will be three months old tomorrow, so her normal three month post will be happening then. Until I get all of those posts together, check out what we've been up to in pictures!

My pregnant Aunt Sissy! This is so exciting! She is 13 weeks!!

Aunt Sissy gave Emma a monogrammed tutu and precious silver paci clip for her baptism. Check it out! Mommy ordered Emma some T strap "shoes" from Trumpette.
She is so Sex and the City!

Woah dude! You are freaking me out!

Uncle Brother and his skeleton girl!

Daddy with "Memma Lou," as our friend calls Emma.

Emma's baptismal banner at church.

Mommy and Daddy getting ready for the baptism.

One set of godparents posing with Mommy and Daddy.
Mommy going to the gym and be-bopping around with me in my Baby Bjorn. Mommy is still going to WW and shamefully she only lost .8 pounds last week. She is staying strong though!
Daddy thinks this is hilarious.

So, as you can see we have been super busy! Lots of people up in the house, going back to work, and just playing around! Emma is getting super big too! We go to the doctor on Thursday for her 3 month shots visit and I am anxious to know her weight and height. Emma is doing really well at her "daycare," and the caretaker is in LOVE with her. She is the youngest of 6 kids, and obviously one of the sweetest! Ha! Anyway, I will do more posting later-bear with me as I get adjusted to my new life as a "working mom."
xoxo,
sus

Bullet Point Sunday and Menu Monday
So, this weekend was a blast! I have to recap in bullet points, then I'll give you a menu for the week.
*We had our dear friends J, L, their kids, and J over on Saturday night-ha-larious! See pics below.
*L and I may or may not have consumed a LARGE amount of wine. Like 10-12 WW points worth-speaking of, I had saved ALL my weekly points for last night-it was well worth it-I used all but like 10 of them!
*Auburn played an awful football game and lost to Kentucky. Nuff said.
*I broke out one of my old "fall" Coach bags and my luscious wrap sweater for church today.
*I went to group cyntergy at the gym on Saturday morning-it's yoga+pilates. It was rad and very relaxing. After that I jogged for 20 on the treadmill. By 12:00 I was totally chilled out and felt really good about myself.
*Emma crapped OUT OF HER ONESIE in the Tar-jay while riding in her Baby Bjorn. Awe-summ.

Today after church-weekly photo sesh.

OMG-could thiskid smile be any cuter???

My Push Present-this one's for Johnny.
So, for pushing out a baby, I am getting new tires for the Expedition. Yes, you read that right-just what I always wanted-four new Continental tires for ripping my who-ha open.
Let me preface this story by saying, if only I would've known this was my present about 2 years ago, I would never have gotten rid of that damn Explorer tire from hubs old car.
A tire that was QUITE hard to get rid of-you see, it all started when one of my OCD rampages kicked in, and I was determined to clean out the garage. This is a task in and of itself, since with two adults and two dogs and a two car garage, you naturally aquire boatloads of unneccessary crap. Plus, my husband is a friggin' pack rat and NEVER throws anything away becausehe forgets about it he might need it one day (in twenty years). So while I am making piles of things to sling, give away, and just hide so he will forget about it (don't judge), I find a TIRE with a RIM on it. WTF? So that goes in the Goodwill pile--little do I know. They don't take tires. I guess it's not safe-I mean why would we have a tire in our GARAGE if it worked? So, on the way home from my Goodwill-a-thon, I stop by this Mexican Tire Shop that buys used tires (literally, that is what the sign says- in Spanish) and I try to pawn this tire off on them. They are like, "Dude, we don't want your stinkin' tire." Rats! I want to get rid of this thing and it needs to happen before hubs sees it and wants to use it remembers it. So when I get home I try to fit it in the BFI trashcan-not happening. A garbage bag the size of Nantucket-not happening. Crap! What am I gonna' do?
Let me preface this story by saying, if only I would've known this was my present about 2 years ago, I would never have gotten rid of that damn Explorer tire from hubs old car.
A tire that was QUITE hard to get rid of-you see, it all started when one of my OCD rampages kicked in, and I was determined to clean out the garage. This is a task in and of itself, since with two adults and two dogs and a two car garage, you naturally aquire boatloads of unneccessary crap. Plus, my husband is a friggin' pack rat and NEVER throws anything away because
I move on from the tire dilemma and begin reorganizing the garage. Hubs comes home and is all like (insert my imitations here-in the fake deep voice), "Oh, it looks good honey, awesome, oh, look my fishing pole from first grade, aww, my tire cleaner, cool, my sprinkler!" Then he sees it-the tire.
Him-"Where did that come from?"
Me-"I found it-in the corner.?.?.?"
Him-"Cool, we can use that later."
Me-"For what?!?!?!"
Him-rolling his eyes-"The car."
Me-"Um, no-that thing is not on a car for a reason-we are not 'saving it' for a car. Ewww, don't be so cheap."
Him-"Fine then, just fine-get rid of it."
Little does he know how hard I've tried.
So, sweet hubs helps me finish the job, and we move the tire out to the driveway. We keep working and organizing and all of a sudden I look up and see the most hilarious thing ever. Apparently the tire is pissed about all my talking about it, and it's making a getaway. It is rolling down the street. I'm all like, "Hubs, the tire, get it, hurry!" Why am I screaming "get it," when I've been trying to GET RID OF IT all dang day? Who knows-hubs goes running after the tire, which by now is rolling along at about 13 miles per hour-downhill. Did I mention we live on a slight hill? The tire makes a quick left into a cul-de-sac and rolls to a stop-hubs catches up to it, and I come following after.
I'm all like, "Let's just leave it here and run!"
He's all like, "You are heinous-we are NOT leaving our TIRE in someone's CUL-DE-SAC Susannah."
I'm all like, "Why?"
He just glares at me and starts rolling the tire UP HILL back to our dang house!
Man, I was so close! When the job is all done, we decide to tape a garbage bag to the tire and pray that the trash company will take it, or else I'm finding a cliff and rolling it off.
The next day when I drive up, what do I see after collection day?
Not this, thank God! They took it! Now though, it seems the tire is coming back to haunt me. Like I said before, this is what I get for giving birth. New tires-awesome.
Well, what do you know?
I'm still pregnant. Ha! I thought the title may spark some interest. Anyway, nothing much is happening in that neighborhood-although I thought I may laugh her out last night! We had a blast with our friends! Every time we do something fun now, we'll go, "Awww, this is our last free _______." Well, come on baby, I'm tired of free time with hubs (no offense hubs, I just want her out.) We had some awesome food last night-Jason made a butt and ribs-dang, dog! We had mom's mac and cheese, brother in law coleslaw, and LeaAnna brought her cheese ring app and a peach tart for dessert! My blood sugar was in the 200's just looking at all the food. So, we were able to provide the Goodwin's with lots of adult interaction-we are so mature and old, it is scary. Some excerpts of our convo last night:
"Do it, take the dog's blood."
"OMG-let's get married again so we can have a wedding party dance like that."
"I'm having a cooler every night full of beer and pepsi because it's so cold and awesome."
Yeah, that's how we roll.
Two of my good friends had their babies last week-we were two weeks apart-it is so cool hearing from them now-one of them said she would have 100's of kids because it was so easy and she loved her epidural! I don't know about all that-but I'm down with pain management. :D
So, these two faces have been all up in my face ALL weekend-do you think they know that something is up??
The hound dog doesn't care if I am loving on him or if hubs is, he just requires petting and food scraps to survive. He does have an ear infection (ahem-not an OCD problem hubs) and now we get to squirt junk down his ear once a day-in a 103.4 pound bloodhound's ear-fun.)
So, I'm still waiting on tips of things I can do to get the baby to get "up in it." I dusted the whole downstairs yesterday and vacuumed! I bounced around on my "birthing ball." No hand came out. I ate and drank (punch) like it was going out of style-I laughed my ass off. She must already love me-cause she isn't budging. I am planning some sweeping today. By the time she gets here, I won't have a dust ball in the house.
On the request of Johnny, I am crafting a story that he loves-sure to be an outstanding blog post-you will have to imagine me doing hubs voice imitation-it is quite quality. Yeah, wait for it-it's coming soon.
And finally, my husband just killed flies living in the blinds/house with our spatula-hmm-don't you want to come over for dinner???
