Blog Awards!

Well, there's nothing like some blog awards to make a girl feel loved! I declare, I have been graced with THREE awards lately! How lovely! Thanks ladies!

First up, we have the Sunshine Award from my bestie K at Brown Eyed Girl. Srsly, if you don't know her or read her, get yer butt over there now! She rocks and keeps it real!

This sweet and easy-to-accept award only requires us to do several things:

1. Put the logo on our blog within a post

2. Pass the award on to 12 bloggers

3. Link to the nominees within your post

4. Let them know they received this award by commenting on their blog

5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award

OK, for my twelve peeps:

Meredith at The Only Journey is the Journey Within

Brianna at The Adams Family

M at Adventures of a First Time Mommy

Lyndsey at All Things Fluffy & Fashionable & Famous

Lindsey at Being Mrs. Cullins

Buford Betty

Cas at Cas' Crazy Thoughts

Monica at Confessions of a + Sized Girl

Sissy at Macon a Mess

Mrs. Potts at Experiments in a Galley Kitchen

Melissa at For the Love

Courtney at For this Little One...

Moving on, Jen at Should be Cleaning gifted me with this gem of an award. Thanks girl!

10 things that make me happy:

1. Blogging and reading blogs!

2. Emma-duh!

3. My family.

4. Diet coke and Sprite zero

5. A clean house

6. Sleeping past six o'clock

7. Summer vacay

8. Reading

9. Wine in the bathtub

10. Bargain shopping-or getting groceries for cheap.

11. (Cause I'm a rebel like that) Losing weight and getting new clothes!

This award goes to:

LG at iGriza

Megan at In this wonderful life

Aimee at Haha, wait, what

Taylor at The Undomestic Momma

Tiffany at Life is Glamorous and Fabulous

Mrs. Doctor at Life of a Doctor's Wife

Fran at Life of Skipper

And finally, Britt from Living in the Moment gave me this. She must be delusional since I am the MOST heinous dresser of all times. Once you meet me this summer you will understand. It's a bit like your hippie dress in the grocery store. :D But thanks sweetie! I shall try to honor it. And once I get skinny, I shall be preppy and dress accordingly!

1. Who is your style icon?
Hmm, gonna have to go with I HAVE NO CLUE SINCE I'M NOT FASHIONABLE! I like things like khakis, jeans, polos (oxfords and pique cotton), flats, wallabees, and generally anything else that is comfortable. I am a teacher. I am up/down all day. On the floor. Etc. I don't "do" cool or hip. I am pretty Vineyard Vines. So whoever dresses like that is my style icon. You know who I think dresses cute and is so cute and preppy (but I couldn't rock this cause I don't have a bajillion dollars to spend on Lilly) is Monograms and Manicures-Hopsy. Wish I had her allowance.

2. What is your favorite socialite book?
Like my friend Britt, I was like, "What? What is this?" If by socialite book, you mean Tori Spelling, then right on. I have read all of her "books" (this term is used loosely-for the love, she is DONNA MARTIN. If that is not what a socialite book is, then I'm stumped. I do love me some Miss Manners and Amy Vanderbuilt.

3. What is your favorite party theme?
Ummmm, again, Britt is delusional. I don't do "themes" so I'm not real sure of my fave. Anything with toile. Does that count? Gah, I suck at being preppy!

4. What is your go-to Halloween costume?
Disappointment number 4-I don't do Halloween. I used to always be a hippie or a cheerleader. When I was 10-17. Now, no Halloween cause A) the dogs LOSE IT! and B) husband is always at work closing the books at the end of the month. So I'm not Halloweening alone.

How in the WORLD is this a preppy question???

5. What is the extravagance you just can't live without?
Diet coke, trashy mags, and pedis. The end. If I lived in a box, I would work for caffeine and OPI polish.

6. Who is the living person you admire?
My mom. Girlfriend has it GOING ON! She has had a lot of stuff to go through, the least of which being raising me and crackella sissy. She works SO hard and is STILL working. And she still has time to farm her crops on FB and knit and sew her grandbabies dresses and write emails and make dinners and get up at 5 to look cute for her students. Dang momma!

And also, my friend Jill who is like srsly SUPER MOM. She makes it look so easy. She could have 4-5 kids and rock it~!

7. What is my greatest fear?
Something happening to Emma or husband. I have to stop thinking about this. Srsly, it is ridic.

8. What's the trait you dislike about yourself?
I am very controlling and like to do things MY way. I will refuse help just so I can do it. Also, I am a worrier. I have let a lot go since having Emma, but still will be up way too late to get stuff done because it must be done according to my specifications.

9. Which talent would you most like to have?
Is saving money a talent? Cause I need to find that one soon...............

1o. What is my greatest achievement?
Besides getting two degrees in 4 1/2 years? My family. I am so proud of them.

11. Who are the 10 people I'd like to tag with the Preppy Mafia award?

Dang, no more tagging/linking please. Anyone who is preppy, please repost!

Two people I can think of immediately are Kim at The Cone Family and Lindsey Douglas at The Douglas Drama. Also, Simple Yet Classic and Sweet Tea Diaries. And my brother at Macon Dinner. Srsly, he is sooo preppy. Love you bro! And, while I am at it, I imagine if I ever met J in real life, she would be a total prep. She is so cool and calm and classic seeming. I puffy heart our conversations and think she would embody prepsterness.

Dang I practically tagged half the list anyway. Now, I am off to leave comments or emails to the people I graced with an award. Hmmm, do I really have to do that too? I'm tired........

Hope you are all excited about the weekend!

Awards!!!

I puffy pink heart awards (to steal some lingo from my dear ♥ b.e.g.)

I "won" two awards from some awesome bloggers! First up, the Beautiful Blogger award from Jaymie @ the Krakowiak Family! Thanks, girl!

The rules of the game:
1. Thank and link to the person that gave you the award.
2. Pass this award on to 15 bloggers you’ve recently discovered and whom you think are fantastic.
3. Contact said Blogs and let them know they've won
4. State 7 things about yourself

SEVEN RAD (RECENTLY DISCOVERED) BLOGGERS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT! I don't have 15 "new" blogs to share-I shall start getting out there more and finding more!

The Only Journey is the Journey Within

Confessions of a + Sized Girl

For the Love

HaHa. Wait. What?

Life of a Doctor's Wife

My Chihuahua Bites

Stuttering Shell

SEVEN THINGS ABOUT ME:

1. I workout on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. If I miss a day,
I go on another day. I am very OCD about getting in those workouts!
2. I love cheese-ridiculously so. It is my WW cheat food-real cheese!
3. I like to be in bed by 9:00. It's 8:59 pm right now. Epic fail.
4. I am still breastfeeding. I plan to keep it up till August!
We will see what happens when I get off the breastfeeding help drug, Reglan.
5. I wash clothes almost every day-not today cause I got home at 6:30,
but pretty much every day.
6. I read my google reader every day while pumping my boobs during planning period.
7. I do not fix my hair at all anymore-I am too lazy. It gets slicked back into a wet ponytail. Daily. Yuck. I actually have pretty nice hair too. I would just rather sleep till 6:00 than get up at 5:40.

Added number 8: Why can I never think of cool/interesting/longer things to say when it's my turn to share "facts?" My facts are boring. Boo me.

Moving on:

Also, I was gifted with the Sunshine Award from my "tribe leader" :D Mrs. Potts @ Experiments in a Galley Kitchen. Thanks, tribe leader! Pink heart comin' your way.

The rules, once this award is received, are as follows:
1. Post the logo on blog.
2. Pass the award on to fellow bloggers.
3. Link the nominees' blogs so others can get to know them.
4. Let nominees know they have won this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person you received this award from.

Sunshine is being sent to the following peeps:

The Life Accounts

Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go email/comment on all those blogs up there and let them know they have "won" some awards! :D

An Award...and The Thirty Day Shred......

Well, my sweet angel friend Britt over at Living in the Moment gifted me with this awesome award! Thanks, Britt! I don't know how deserving I actually am of this award right now, due to my pitiful blogging funk, but I'll try to honor it. I do believe a lot of the blogging world is going through said funk right now, so I take strength in the fact that I am not alone. But look! Two posts in one day! Right on, right on. :D

I give this blog award to the following ladies and one gentlemen friend:

Cas @ Cas' Crazy Thoughts

Laura @ IGriza

Mrs. Potts @ Experiments in a Galley Kitchen

Brown Eyed Girl

Sarah @ Life of Blights

J @ Wanting What I Have

Landlocked Mermaid (private)

Amy @ Ha Ha. Wait, What?

For the Love

That is all for now-you all rock my world, but I am too lazy to link up to 15 blogs. Forgive please.

Next order of business. I am thinking about trying Miss Michaels' infamous 30 Day Shred. Husband has said he will participate with me. Here are my main reasons for wanting to try it:

1. Monica @ Confessions of a + Sized Girl is doing it and is still alive. 2. It is only 30 days. 3. It only takes 28 minutes per day. 4. I need to shred some weight off. 5. I can do it at home and cannot use the excuse of not enough time to go to the gym. (I will still be visiting the gym on Monday and Wednesday to do my cardio-treadmill time.)

I want/need to know the following: 1. Have any of you done this? 2. What did you think? 3. Will I still be alive after the first level? 4. Will I lose weight if I really do it?

Please share lovelies.

So glad it's the weekend, even if my to do list looks atrocious! I hope you all have some fun, relaxing things planned for the weekend!
xoxo

Weight Watchers Friday and Birthday Shenanigans

Hey guys! Yes, I know it's Friday (morning at 5:52, yuck) but I am getting ready for work and decided for the love just write the blog post instead of composing it in your head. I hardly have time to write during the week anymore-I have been so tired lately. I used to be up till 11, now it's about 9, so it's hard to blog during the week, but I'm trying!

Anyway, WWW was boo-I gained 1.2 pounds. That is the most I've ever gained! But, it's not surprising. When I was sick last week, I ate almost an entire cheese pizza, Fritos, onion dip, and had BBQ on Saturday. Please-I'm lucky I didn't gain 23 pounds. Plus I only exercised once! I'm still bitter though.

So for my 31st birthday, we went to Kani House-the Japanese steak and sushi bar around here. I got steak and shrimp hibachi-with the special sauce on the side. It's like crack. Then on Thursday morning, I started all over again, tracking and coming in 1 point under. Plus I have worked out Monday and Wednesday and plan to go at least Saturday if not Sunday too. I have a plan. And that is the good thing about WW is that you can start over every weigh in day! I am soooo close to my 10% goal-I just want to reach it now!

Now, as for the 31st birthday (yikes, that sounds old!) shenanigans-we went out to eat and then came home and I opened presents. I save all the presents that are mailed to me for the actual birthday. My family sent me two devotional books and a super cute pair of Yellow Box shoes! Thanks mommy! The in laws sent me a NYC giftcard (new clothes!) and a super cute Vera Bradley laptop travel case. Thanks second family! My sissy sent me some beautiful gerbera daisies. Thanks sister! My hubby and daughter got me a new, programmable crock pot that won't burn the house down! I can't wait to use it at least 3 times next week. Sidenote-it was sooo stinkin awesome to come home on Monday after all my errands and have slow cooker chili ready and smelling rad! Hubby also got me my heart's desire-home bleaching trays from the dentist! I have wanted these for so long. Since I have been smoke free for one year, I got them! I wore them for the first time last night, and so far so good. I need to take a before and after picture. I shall try to remember and do that tonight. It should take about two weeks for the total whitening effect.

Overall, I've had a very busy and fun week! I hope to run some errands and go to the gym tomorrow morning, then settle in and find some great crock pot recipes for next week. What are you all doing this weekend?

xoxo

Awards!

Well hello there fine people! Monday is over, thank goodness! Only four more days until schoolz out and I can have a winter break! Aghhhahhhhghghgh! (That was the angels singing for me!) ;D

Anyway, I have been lax in posting about two awards I received, so let's do it! I love awards, love getting recognized in bloggy land, and think it's only good and right to re post and share the love with my other BFF's!

So, first up we have the Honest Scrap award from my IRL friend Adventures of a First Time Mommy! Thanks girl, love it and you! Let's have lunch and a walk/play date soon!

In order to accept this award, I need to come up with 10 honest things about myself....yikes a million-some of these may be TMI, but....it said honest. :D

1. I don't always wash my makeup off. I know, it's awful for my skin, but sometimes I am so tired, I just say, "Screw it."

2. I clip my toenails in bed, but pick up each clipping and put it on the night table so they don't go in my bed or on the floor. Sick, I know. But it's the only way I can maneuver my feet up that close to my face to see.

3. I cannot leave school on Friday until I have planned and copied every last detail for the upcoming week.

4. I cannot go to bed until the kitchen is practically spotless (although, during pregnancy I could and did leave dishes in the sink overnight!)

5. I go to the bathroom (tee tee) at least two times before flushing if no one else is in the house. (What, I'm trying to be eco-conscious!)

6. I feel guilty if I don't go to church on Sundays.

7. I drink two diet cokes per day.

8. I feel guilty if I don't track my WW points-which mainly is on the weekends-I "track" in my head.

9. Likewise, I feel guilty if I eat something I don't know the points of, because it's probably not good for me.

10. I can go all weekend without showering if I'm not going out with people-and I'm not grossed out.

Do you all still love me?

Now, I want to give this to all of my followers and readers! You all make me smile, and I want to know more about you all! Please post the award and tell me ten honest things about yourself!

Next, the Happy 101 blog award! This is from Brittany at Living in the Moment! This award is for blogs that make you smile, and it has two requirements:

1. List 10 things that make you happy
2. List 10 bloggers who brighten your day.

1. Diet cokes and wine

2. My hubby, daughter, and whole family!

3. Maids

4. My dogs (most of the time)

5 My friends IRL and in blog land

6. Couponing

7. Making lists and crossing things off (OCD much?)

8. Having email "conversations" with friends (right, b.e.g.? :D)

9. Going to church

10. When people guess the Sunday Saying!

Now, these people make me happy, but unfortch, I cannot link up to all of them because I am sooooo tired and have a baby to care for (J/K-she is just my excuse :D) But really, all of these fab ladies are found on my blogroll to the right-check em out now.

Mrs. Potts at Experiments in a Galley Kitchen

Brown Eyed Girl

Brown Girl

Buford Betty

Bridget at Don't Blink

For the Love

Leslie at Lamberts Lately

Jen at Should be Cleaning

Mrs. Classic at Simple yet Classic

Miss Sweet Tea at Sweet Tea Diaries

Ladies, keep the hits coming! Sorry for the lame non link up, but I adore you all nonetheless! Now, I expect to see some award posts in my Google Reader soon ladies. :D
