Emma's Shopping Spree

Well, first of all, Happy Father's Day to my buh-bee. A little late on the bandwagon of Father's Day wellwishers, but nonetheless, Happy FD baby! And to my Parpa and J's Pops! You all rock!

To celebrate, we took hubby to Bass Pro for a shopping spree. It is in the Discover Mills Mall. After hubby spent his giftcard, we walked around the mall. Emma got set up on some good stuff!

First up, Toys-R-Us. We may or may not have purchased Emma's awesome wagon! While there, we got Emma a cute pair of "rocker" PJ's by Amy Coe. She also needed a new white t-shirt. I'm sure she is the first baby ever to stain a white t-shirt. How rude of her! :D She also got two pairs of cotton shorts to go with her Amelia Island t-shirt and other plain onesies.
Then, the Gymboree Outlet. Right on. She got a strawberry dress
and a green seersucker dress with watermelons on it. Too cute!

Again from Gymboree, two cute pairs of PJ's with open toes.

And again, a presh polka dot dress.

Holy mother of PJ's load at the Children's Place Outlet.
We got all three of these giant zip up PJ's for 21$.

What did you all do today? Find any good deals??

Bumbo Seat, Couponing, Christmas Shoebox, and EMMA!

Random title, I know. But we have been busy since our last update.
Emma got a Bumbo seat today from Tar-jay. I have been wanting one of these for a while now, and since she can hold her head up, we got it. It's hysterical!

Emma and Mommy

Emma and Daddy

These are my two shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. I bought everything in the Target dollar bins except the gummy bears and Lifesavers. Those were $1.52 each. I also got all of the toiletries in the travel section-they were less than one dollar.
I made a boy and girl box. I got each child:
-gummy bears, gummy Lifesavers, ring pop, gum, 2 shampoos, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, 2 books, markers, coloring book/notepad, hairbrush, first aid kit, toothbrush/paste, socks, and chap stick. I did not use any coupons (because I didn't have any) and I spent $35. I just wanted to get them "whatever struck my fancy" without worrying about the money. I'm sure I could have done this cheaper, but I'm on a timeline here and didn't have any coupons stored up for this.

I went couponing after Weight Watchers on Thursday at Kroger. I got all of the following for $42. Not bad, but it was $62 before coupons! I still have a lot to learn.
I got:
-9 Smart Ones entrees
-2 WW desserts
-2 boxes Ronzoni whole grain pasta
-4 WW cheeses
-1 pack Yoplait digestive yogurt
-3 cartons Progresso chicken broth
Not bad, especially since the WW frozen meals and desserts are very expensive. They were on sale 5/$10 and I had $1 off coupons for all nine of them! For the cheeses I had 75c off coupons, the pasta $1 off each, 50c off the broth and they all doubled to $1, desserts were only 55c off, but better than nothing especially when you eat them every night and they are about $4 each! I am stalking Melissa's blog and some other ones!

Emma dreaming and drooling.

Ummm, excuse me?

Thinking hard.

Flash smells something good!

I think I'm gonna throw up.

Mommy was playing with Picasa editing and ignoring my puking.

Divine Consign Trunk Show

So, my friend Nicole has a little boy, Jackson who is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.-he is Emma's future boyfriend-they even look alike. If I had a digital picture of him, I would post it and you would all want your little girls to marry him. He is that cute. Anyway, she always has him in the cutest smocked outfits and when I asked her WHERE she was getting all of these cute clothes, she revealed her secret-Divine Consign! So, I looked it up and they were coming to Buckhead! I called my hoochie Emily and enlisted her help-I was taking the infant and it was in BUCKHEAD-people from ATL know that means utter chaos on just about any day. The store was off Piedmont and Peachtree-yikes a mil. Of course it has been pouring in Atlanta for the past 3 days, and today was no exception.

We met at the Cafe at Pharr (holy cow-delish chicken salad!) and got our energy up. Next, we ventured out to the show. It was not as big as I expected, but when we walked in, there were rows and rows and racks and racks of precious SMOCKED kids' clothing. Most southern girls are ALL over smocked clothing-for boys or girls. And you can bet when I have my next kid, if it's a boy, he's wearing bubble suits, longalls, etc. Presh-

However, I digress. We immediately started busting through those racks, looking for the best deals. Nothing was over $35. I start hanging things on Emma's sling (as she slept inside) and pretty soon, it was sagging open. I had to take a time out and sort though stuff that I wanted and stuff that I would actually purchase. Check out my goods below. I spent $102. All items were new with tags still on.

Precious Auburn Day Gown $19
Size 0-3 months

Adorable Christmas Bubble Suit $35
Size 3 months

Girlie Orange Dress with shoes and purses $29
Size 3 months

Lime Green and Lavender Toile Dress $19
Size 12 months

After our jaunt to the consignment show, we went to Old Navy, because who doesn't love cheap cute clothes for less! The baby onesies were 2/$10. I got these three.

So, Miss Emma has some new clothing. I can't wait to put these smocked dresses on her. I need to break in some of the 23 dresses my mom smocked for my sister and I-she saved them all and gave them to me when I had Emma. Sooo cute!

And, for your viewing pleasure because I know the grandparents cannot live without a daily picture of their love muffin here is the Princess (as Nonnie calls her).

Um, I was surprised...you didn't tell me you were ready!

Happy almost Friday!
