Friday Randomosity

Updated: Apparently I can't spell my niece's name-I know it is Scarlet-I have sent her tons of stuff with her name on it! Sorry sissy AND Scarlet!!!

Hello lovelies! I have been without the Internets (gasp!) since Monday and have been having major withdrawals! No Facebook, email (all 3 accounts), and BLOGS! I was able to read a few at work on Tuesday, but most of them are blocked from commenting due to our super strict firewall. What does this say about me? Please, don't tell me. I know I have a problem. The first step is admitting it. I would be willing to bet that most of us have Internets addiction. :D

Here is a list of random things going on and in my mind most recently. Thank the good lady Mrs. Doctor for her "Randomosity" posts.

*Does anyone else try to turn things on when the power is out? It went out today for a bit and I caught myself trying to turn on lights 3 different times! Loser!

*I recently heard on the radio that like 2 in 10 people would leave their spouse/get a divorce over TV! WTH? Apparently TV is soooo important to so many people, they would rather have that than a significant other/spouse. Maybe I just don't get it-cause we don't have DVR. Oh well, I think that is really sad/screwed up.

*I would really like to ask you to pray for a girl named Katherine. She was in a wreck last week and had her 4 mo old baby in the backseat in a car seat. They both had injuries and went to the hospital. After 4 days, her sweet baby Addison passed away. I cannot even tell you how heavy my heart has been since reading this on my friend's blog. Literally, I cry at least 3 times per day, I look at Emma and think, "What if that was me???" I have been saying many prayers for this mom and the sweet baby girl. Please say one or two for them too.

*I am going to Birmingham for a Scarlett fix on Monday! Yay!

*We are having our first annual with a baby beach trip to Amelia Island/Fernandina next week. Double Yay!

*I am having my own personal "BlogHer 2010 Girl's Weekend"-it's in quotes because we (OK me) made up that we are having a BlogHer conference. :D It's 5 of us bloggers getting together and meeting and having a girl-a-thon! I cannot wait! Hubby is in charge of Emma all weekend. Yikers. I bet he will have a renewed appresh for me after that. I hope................

*Emma went swimming in a real pool for the first time today. It was sooo stinkin' cute and she loved it! She put her face down in the water and drank it. She also went under three times! Too cute.

*I am super tired now and shall retire. Again, sorry for the lack of posts and lack of comments. I hope to return to a "normal" schedule now that school is out. I will have to make some semblance of a plan on when to blog and try to stick to it.

More soon!

  1. I totally do that, the lights went out the other night and I was walking through the house with a flashlight to get to the kitchen and started trying to turn on the light. I felt a fool and if Bubs had seen me, I would not have lived that one down for awhile!

I missed you and your sass - the internet is not an addiction, it's called keeping in touch! XOXOXO

  2. I think you should post pics of little Miss Emma swimming! So cute!

  3. Sister it is Scarlet. Ya know this cause you have given her stuff with her name!! Me love and she can;t wait to see you!

  4. Really excited you are gonna get a weekend all to yourself, AND hat J gets to have some quality time with lou!

  5. Ps if you had an iphone you would always have internet access!

  6. We don't have DVR either. I can't believe people get divorced over that!

    Three weeks!!!!!

  7. Yay for randomisity! (And thanks for the shout out!)

I have totally done that with the light switches - it's like my brain refuses to acknowledge when the power is out!

So very sorry to hear about your friend's loss. Sending her prayers.

  8. how fun for the girl's weekend with fellow bloggers. i mentioned to laura about possibly getting together for a weekend in late oct/early november. interested?? it would be with babies.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!
