Rocking Chair!

This was an early first birthday present for Emma from my mom and dad. This rocking chair was mine (and my sissy's) when I was growing up. It is an antique from my Grannie Annie. When I was little, I covered it in stickers! Bad girl! I used to cover many things in stickers, including, but not limited to: my bedroom and closet door, furniture, and a car window or two. So, my parents had it stripped and re-stained, and I think they did something to the wicker seat-it looks nicer/newer.
(Sidenote on stickers-Emma, do not ever do this! It is very annoying and will be on there until your kid is 30-my bedroom door is still sporting stickers!)
So, thank you Nonnie and Parpa for my early present! I love it!
We are in Birmingham visiting cousin Scarlet and playing with the family. Lots to do and see, so little time! Tomorrow we are going to the pool! Pictures to follow!

  2. Awww, it's adorable! They did a fantastic job on getting it redone. I had one just like this painted a seafoam green color growing up. It had a matching mini desk, desk chair and kitchen cupboard-all antiques from my great great grandmother. My parents still have them all in storage, I can't wait to get them out for my kids!
